Project Cost Lab is an informational UK cost-tools site. This notice explains what we (and our service providers) may process when you use the site.

What the calculator does

The cost-range calculator runs in your browser. Project choices and inputs are used locally to illustrate a band. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not use the calculator to collect your name, address or payment details.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. Ad units on Project Cost Lab are placed after explanatory content — never dressed as a contractor price or a tender figure.

Cookies

Essential cookies (if any) keep the site working. Advertising and measurement cookies are described on our Cookies page. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may limit ad personalisation rather than the calculator itself.

Analytics

We may use privacy-conscious or standard web analytics (including tools provided alongside AdSense or Cloudflare) to understand aggregate traffic — for example which guides are read and whether pages load correctly. We use this to improve content, not to build a quote for your property.

Hosting and security

The site is served via Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process connection data (such as IP address and request metadata) to deliver content, apply HTTPS and protect against abuse. See Cloudflare’s published privacy documentation for details of that processing.
